Dreaming

I'm standing on a ridge, in the front of me spans the vast Pacific Ocean and behind me mountains, towering up in the sky, their peaks reaching up into the clouds. It's sunset and the sun is beginning to dip over the horizon and fall into the ocean. There is a soft breeze in the air, filled with the fragrance of the salt water blowing in from the sea. It is a cool, quiet evening and I am alone. Completely, utterly alone. No phones, no cars, no dogs or cats or parrots. It is just me. Me and sound of the waves moving in and coursing over the sand tumbling the pebbles as it recedes. Life is good.

Too bad this is all a daydream and there is chaos around me, closing in on me. Phones are ringing and someone is demanding something. Always demanding something. Don't you wish you could just close your eyes, tap your heals and magically be somewhere else. Somewhere where time is simpler and you get to do all of the things that you really want to do. Do what your passionate about. It is a dream and a good one.

Okay, back to real life. On a higher note it is Friday and I have a long weekend of creating in front of me. And, really--life is good but it is also good to dream.
