I live in La, work full time and dabble in art when ever I can. I would love to be able to do my art full time--who knows, maybe one day I will. In the past year, I started doing Festivals, trying to sell my Art. It is A LOT of work, but worth it. I have met so many people with the same interests as myself.
I live in Louisiana with my husband, 4 dogs, 5 cats, 4 horses, 2 birds and 1 sugar glider. I am an animal lover and maker of things. I work in construction full time and dabble in Art in my spare time. I like to find old, rusty things and give them new life. There is so much untold history in these objects. Whose hands touched them, used them. They have the patina of time, Rust. Which is one of my favorite colors!
I love to watch a cat sleep, a puppy run and am a self proclaimed chocolate freak. I hate crowds and prefer the simpler things in life. I grew up in the mountains of Maryland and now live in the lowlands of Louisiana. I am finding my way through life, one experiment and adventure at a time.
One who claims that he knows about it Tells me the earth is a vale of sin; But I and the bees, and the birds we doubt it, And think it a world worth living in. ------ Whatever you want, if you wish for it long, With constant yearning and ceaseless desire, If your wish soars upward on wings so strong That they never grow languid, never tire, Why, over the storm cloud and out of the dark It will come flying some day to you, As the dove with the olive branch flew to the ark, And the wish you've been dreaming, it will come true.
I paint mixed-media angels on canvas and ceramic tile. If you see an angel in my gallery that you like and would like to purchase, visit me at my website on the link below. I also customize. If you would like a certain size, hair color, eye color or back-ground color I can also do that-just leave me a comment on the website or blog and we can make arrangements.

My Favorite Quote " Animals aren't your whole life, but they make your life whole"
My name is Faye and I live in La. I share my home with my husband Lewis and a myriad of creatures, I call them my "kids". Starting with the pooches, there is Shay--she came from the pound and is a toy Rat Terrier, Archie: Don't really know what Archie is. He come From McDonald's. Hence the name Archie (for the Golden Arches)Then there is Henry: We found Henry on a bridge last year. He had been hit by a car and left there. Then there is Big John and Lenore, they were our last two foundlings. They came from the site that we are currently working on. Big John is a Great Pyraneese and Lenore is an Australian Sheppard. They both had health issues, but are on the way to a full recovery. Next is the Felines. There is Katie and Sebastion (found him at the Dam), and Honey and Scaredy Cat and Josey (all rescued as kittens at different times--not from the same litter. Then there is Phoenix and Lizzie. Phoenix is an Amazon Parrot. He has been with me for about 20 years and Lizzie is a Cockatiel. I have had her for about 13 Years, and then there' s the Sugar Gliders:Apple, Blossom and Zorro. Oh, yes--last but not least are my horses. There is Savanna--a quarter horse that I got when she was just a foal, Zoey is a paint and has the kindest eyes, Ringo is the baby of the group. She is part Draft and part Thorough Bred and such a delight--the baby in her still shines, and then there is Lacy. She is my rescue horse. She is a small mustang who has really come out of her shell since we took her in. I love them all--every one. In my spare time, I love to create--it really doesn't matter what it is. Painting is my Favorite Thing, but Salvage Art and Jewelry Design rank right up there. Would love to do it full time but it doesn't quite pay the bills. Maybe one day :)
"You tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding. "
